Grandma's Pearls of Wisdom
I had the pleasure of going home this past week for Mother's Day. While at home, I had a meaningful conversation with my grandma. The conversation began with me asking, "Grandma, how can you tell if it's God speaking to you?" She provided an answer, but what she said next really resonated with me. She said, "Always remember, rejection is God protecting you. Your spirit knows you best, and anyone who interacts with you will instinctively know how to treat you. Your spirit and God will reveal who truly supports you, and those who don't will naturally reject you. Hearing God's voice is one thing, but recognizing His protection, patiently waiting for Him, and trusting in Him is another."
Personal:
I've learned that being excessively loyal can become toxic. Remaining loyal to my plans, my vision, and the people I desire in my life can sometimes conflict with God's guidance and protection. I'm in the process of learning this, and it's painful. Yet, growth involves pain, moving forward involves pain, and striving to be the best version of myself as Jayda involves pain. However, I will soon become the complete and best version of Jayda. Just as He said, "in due season."
