Year 23 ... The Year of Alignment

During my 23rd year, which I've dubbed the Jordan Year, I sought only alignment from the Almighty. I entrusted Him with placing me in positions He deemed most suitable for me. I chose to forgo typical activities like vision board parties or shopping for pretty calendars and followed God's lead instead.

THE WORDS YOU SPEAK TO GOD, HE SHALL MAKE HAPPEN

I had faith that if I communicated my desires to the Lord, they would come to fruition. However, before I knew it, I found myself in an unsafe work environment where colleagues were bullies and patients exhibited challenging behavior. It became evident that my safety was at risk, and my coworkers were neither loyal nor protective. Without batting an eye, I quit my job on January 5, 2023, without a backup plan or new job lined up.

After months of hard work, applying, and interviewing, I refused to settle for a job that didn't align with my emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Although my experience within the mental health field was valuable, the environment lacked the security and safety that I needed. Despite being recognized for my accomplishments and offering advice to others, it was difficult to discern genuine support. Nonetheless, I persevered and continued to push forward. My efforts paid off when I was granted the incredible opportunity to become a counselor at one of the most prestigious universities today.
